The Castleberry Lions basketball team (Fort Worth, TX), was nudged 40-37 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX)

The Porcupines now sport a 6-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Worth for a 4A Region I District 8 battle on Tuesday, January 24. Springtown will battle a Bullfrogs team coming off a 41-29 league loss to Decatur (Decatur, TX). The Bullfrogs record now stands at 17-11.

The Lions (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against Krum (Krum, TX). The Bobcats come into the 4A Region I District 8 battle with a 14-9 record. In their last battle, Krum held off Bridgeport (Bridgeport, TX), 58-40, in a league bout.
