The Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA) basketball crushed the visiting Waynesburg Central Raiders (Waynesburg, PA), 68-40 in Friday's league test.
The Cougars (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Frazier (Perryopolis, PA). The Commodores go into the non-league test with a 2-14 record. In their last test, Frazier was trounced by Bentworth (Bentleyville, PA), 59-46, in a league test.
The Raiders now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they host Brownsville for a WPIAL 3A 4 test on Tuesday, January 24. Waynesburg Central will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 45-43 non-league loss to Monessen (Monessen, PA). The Falcons record now stands at 8-6.
