West Virginia High School Basketball - St. Joseph Central overwhelms Covenant

January 20, 2023: Barboursville, WV 25701

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV) and the host Covenant Eagles (Barboursville, WV), witnessed St. Joseph Central's basketball squad crush Covenant by a margin of 74-46.

The Irish (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Webster County (Upper Glade, WV). The Highlanders go into the non-league test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, Webster County walloped Gilmer County (Glenville, WV), 56-37, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Truth for a Freelance test on Saturday, January 21. Covenant will encounter a Guardians squad coming off a 67-40 non-league loss to Mount Hope Christian Academy (Mount Hope, WV). The Guardians record now stands at 3-11.
