East Wake Academy Eagles (Zebulon, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Research Triangle Raptors (Research Triangle Park, NC), 64-25 in a league bout.

With the win, East Wake Academy upgrades its record to 5-14 on the season. The Eagles travel to Falls Lake (Creedmoor, NC) to clash with the Firebirds in a 1A/2A Conference 12 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Firebirds go into the bout with a record of 7-11. Falls Lake lost 75-59 in their recent league bout against Franklin Academy (Wake Forest, NC)

Next up, the Raptors clash with the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns (Durham, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 12 bout, on Monday, January 23. Research Triangle will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Unicorns go into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 57-43 league win over Raleigh Charter (Raleigh, NC).
