The Elkin Buckin' Elks basketball team (Elkin, NC), dropped 80-61 in Friday's league battle with the host North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC)
The Vikings now sport a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Starmount for a 1A Conference 36 battle on Tuesday, January 24. North Stokes will battle a Rams team coming off a 84-45 non-league win over Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Rams record now stands at 10-6.
The Buckin' Elks (3-12) will now prepare for their battle against Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Trojans come into the 1A Conference 36 battle with a 8-9 record. In their last battle, Alleghany dropped by South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 69-60, in a league battle.
