Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Woodstock Academy Centaurs (Woodstock, CT), 52-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Fitch upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT) to play the Wildcats in a Eastern Connecticut I bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 4-6. Norwich Free Academy lost 69-54 in their recent league bout against St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT)

Next up, the Centaurs play the Killingly Redmen (Killingly, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut II bout, on Monday, January 23. Woodstock Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Redmen come into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 52-41 non-league loss to Griswold (Griswold, CT).
