In Thursday's non-league outing, the Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT) basketball squad edged the host Woodstock Academy Centaurs (Woodstock, CT), by a margin of 61-55.
The Falcons (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Ledyard (Ledyard, CT). The Colonels go into the Eastern Connecticut I outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Ledyard was tipped by Waterford (Waterford, CT), 60-58, in a non-league outing.
The Centaurs now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Windham for a Eastern Connecticut I outing on Saturday, December 17. Woodstock Academy will clash with a Whippets squad coming off a 69-33 league win over Plainfield (Central Village, CT). The Whippets record now stands at 1-0.
