West Middlesex Big Reds (West Middlesex, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting George Junior Republic (Grove City, PA), 77-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, West Middlesex upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Big Reds travel to General McLane (Edinboro, PA) to play the Lancers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 6-5. General McLane won 71-41 in their recent non-league bout against Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA)

Next up, the play the Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA) in a District 10 Region 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. George Junior Republic will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 55-44 league win over Lakeview (Stoneboro, PA).
