Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South Hardin Tigers (Eldora, IA), 62-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grundy Center upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Wapsie Valley won 74-45 in their recent league bout against Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA)

Next up, the Tigers play the South Hamilton Hawks (Jewell, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. South Hardin will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record.
