The Loop Longhorns basketball team (Loop, TX), dropped 47-34 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Klondike Cougars (Lamesa, TX)
The Cougars now possess a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wellman-Union for a 1A Region I District 8 battle on Tuesday, January 24. Klondike will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 85-19 league loss to Grady (Lenorah, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-9.
The Longhorns (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Sands (Ackerly, TX). The Mustangs come into the 1A Region I District 8 battle with a 8-11 record. In their last battle, Sands prevailed over Dawson (Welch, TX), 59-20, in a league battle.
