In Tuesday's league outing, the Klondike Cougars (Lamesa, TX) basketball squad felled the visiting Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX), by a margin of 57-39.

The Cougars (7-10) will now prepare for their outing against Wellman-Union (Wellman, TX). The Wildcats go into the 1A Region I District 8 outing with a 1-12 record. In their last outing, Wellman-Union was beaten by Grady (Lenorah, TX), 77-24, in a league outing.

The Longhorns now own a 6-15 record. They play next when they travel to Sands for a 1A Region I District 8 outing on Friday, February 10. Loop will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 74-10 league win over Dawson (Welch, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-15.
