South Carolina High School Basketball - Orangeburg-Wilkinson fells Lower Richland

January 20, 2023: Hopkins, SC 29061

Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins (Orangeburg, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC), 56-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Orangeburg-Wilkinson upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Bruins host Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC) to play the Bearcats in a AAA Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 7-10. Brookland-Cayce won 54-46 in their recent league bout against Swansea (Swansea, SC)

Next up, the Diamond Hornets play the Dreher Blue Devils (Columbia, SC) in a AAA Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Lower Richland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 70-67 league win over Gilbert (Gilbert, SC).
