In Friday's league match, the visiting Lufkin Panthers basketball team scored a good 41-33 triumph over the Nacogdoches Dragons.
In their next game, the Panthers face the Huntsville Hornets (Huntsville, TX) in a 5A Region II District 16 match, on Tuesday, January 24. Lufkin will attempt to move on its 26-3 season record. The Hornets enter the match with a 4-12 record after their 39-29 league win over Porter (Porter, TX).

The Panthers enter the match with a record of 11-16. Kingwood Park won 36-28 in their recent league match against Dayton (Dayton, TX)
