With the victory, Lufkin upgrades its record to 31-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Huntsville (Huntsville, TX) to play the Hornets in a 5A Region II District 16 challenge on Friday, February 10. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 5-17. Huntsville lost 69-63 in their recent league challenge against Porter (Porter, TX)

Next up, the Dragons play the Kingwood Park Panthers (Kingwood, TX) in a 5A Region II District 16 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Nacogdoches will attempt to upgrade on its 19-12 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 15-17 record after their 59-35 league win over Dayton (Dayton, TX).
