With the victory, Mitchell County improves its record to 18-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Calhoun County (Edison, GA) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 16-3. Calhoun County won 72-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Early County (Blakely, GA)

The Royal Knights (2-15) will now prepare for their contest against Terrell County (Dawson, GA). The Greenwave come into the A D2 Region 1A contest with a 10-9 record. In their last contest, Terrell County triumphed over Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA), 60-39, in a league contest.
