The Mitchell County Eagles basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Stewart County Royal Knights to 26 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quitman County for a A D2 Region 1A contest on Friday, December 9. Mitchell County will meet a Hornets team coming off a 74-49 league loss to Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 0-3.

The Royal Knights (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Miller County (Colquitt, GA). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Miller County triumphed over Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA), 65-59, in a non-league contest.
