North Carolina High School Basketball - West Stanly topped by Monroe

The Monroe Redhawks basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting West Stanly Colts to 53 in the Redhawks league victory on Friday.

The Redhawks now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Parkwood for a 2A/3A Conference 44 contest on Friday, January 27. Monroe will battle a Wolf Pack team coming off a 57-44 league win over Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 15-5.

The Colts (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Bearcats come into the 2A/3A Conference 44 contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Anson prevailed over Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 46-44, in a league contest.
