Parkview Panthers (Lilburn, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Newton Rams (Covington, GA), 71-69 in a league bout.

With the win, Parkview upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Panthers travel to Meadowcreek (Norcross, GA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Meadowcreek lost 83-70 in their recent league bout against Norcross (Norcross, GA)

Next up, the Rams play the Grayson Rams (Loganville, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Newton will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 55-51 league win over South Gwinnett (Snellville, GA).
