Newton Rams (Covington, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Parkview Panthers (Lilburn, GA), 79-70 in a league bout.

With the victory, Newton upgrades its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Grayson (Loganville, GA) to play the Rams in a AAAAAAA Region 4 bout on Friday, February 10. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 18-5. Grayson won 64-50 in their recent league bout against South Gwinnett (Snellville, GA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Brookwood Broncos (Snellville, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 4 bout, on Friday, February 10. Parkview will attempt to upgrade on its 11-12 season record. The Broncos come into the bout with a 11-13 record after their 67-64 league win over Archer (Lawrenceville, GA).
