Northwest Mounties (Jackson, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Pennfield Panthers (Battle Creek, MI), 63-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Northwest upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Mounties host Eaton Rapids (Eaton Rapids, MI) to play the Greyhounds in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 0-10. Eaton Rapids lost 40-28 in their recent league bout against Charlotte (Charlotte, MI)

Next up, the Panthers play the Plainwell Trojans (Plainwell, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Pennfield will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 48-35 league loss to Niles (Niles, MI).
