Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Pottsville can't hold off Tamaqua

The Tamaqua Blue Raiders basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Pottsville Crimson Tide to 46 in the Blue Raiders league victory on Friday.

The Blue Raiders now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lehighton for a Schuylkill County 1 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Tamaqua will battle a Indians team coming off a 52-51 league loss to Jim Thorpe (Jim Thorpe, PA). The Indians record now stands at 8-9.

The Crimson Tide (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Jim Thorpe (Jim Thorpe, PA). The Olympians come into the Schuylkill County 1 contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Jim Thorpe edged Nativity BVM (Pottsville, PA), 71-66, in a non-league contest.
