The Vistamar Vikings (El Segundo, CA) basketball nipped the visiting California Academy of Math & Science Rebels (Carson, CA), 34-27 in Friday's league test.

The Vikings (8-6) will now prepare for their test against New Roads (Santa Monica, CA). The Jaguars go into the Coastal test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, New Roads was tipped by Geffen Academy (Los Angeles, CA), 51-19, in a league test.

The Rebels now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Vistamar for a Coastal test on Tuesday, January 31.
