The Matadors come into the challenge with a record of 9-23. Seguin lost 40-28 in their recent league challenge against Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Boerne-Champion Chargers (Boerne, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Canyon will attempt to improve on its 8-18 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 23-6 record after their 62-36 league win over Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX).
