The Carthage Bulldogs (Carthage, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Chapel Hill Bulldogs (Tyler, TX), 41-39 in Friday's league contest.
The Bulldogs now sport a 12-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Spring Hill for a 4A Region III District 17 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Carthage will meet a Panthers team coming off a 40-34 league win over Kilgore (Kilgore, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 14-13.
The Bulldogs (18-8) will now prepare for their contest against Center (Center, TX). The Roughriders enter the 4A Region III District 17 contest with a 7-12 record. In their last contest, Center was nudged by Carthage (Carthage, TX), 47-36, in a league contest.
