The Central Plains Oilers basketball team scored 44 points and held the host St. John Tigers to 32 in the Oilers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Oilers now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sunrise Christian Academy for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. Central Plains will meet a Buffaloes team coming off a 42-34 non-league win over Minneapolis (Minneapolis, KS). The Buffaloes record now stands at 12-5.

The Tigers (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Minneapolis (Minneapolis, KS). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Minneapolis was defeated by Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, KS), 42-34, in a non-league contest.
