Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA), 34-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Franklin Parish upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Patriots host Bastrop (Bastrop, LA) to clash with the Rams in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 18-5.

Next up, the Indians clash with the Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Tioga will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Warhorses go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 38-36 non-league win over Delta Charter (Ferriday, LA).
