In Tuesday's league outing, the Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA) basketball squad edged the visiting Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA), by a count of 47-43.
The Patriots (13-4) will now prepare for their outing against Grant (Dry Prong, LA). The Cougars go into the 4A District 2 outing with a 3-14 record. In their last outing, Grant was tipped by Neville (Monroe, LA), 53-14, in a league outing.
The Indians now hold a 11-13 record. They play next when they host Sacred Heart for a non-league outing on Friday, February 3. Tioga will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 47-9 non-league win over Wright (New Orleans, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 14-6.
