The Midway Panthers basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Harker Heights Knights to 36 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 18-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Temple for a 6A Region II District 12 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Midway will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 64-23 league loss to Weiss (Pflugerville, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-18.

The Knights (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Hutto (Hutto, TX). The Hippos come into the 6A Region II District 12 contest with a 10-20 record. In their last contest, Hutto was defeated by Midway (Waco, TX), 55-51, in a league contest.
