The Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC), 65-46 in Friday's league test.

The Redhawks (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack go into the 2A/3A Conference 44 test with a 16-4 record. In their last test, Parkwood notched a victory over Central Academy (Monroe, NC), 67-33, in a league test.

The Colts now own a 5-13 record. They play next when they host Anson for a 2A/3A Conference 44 test on Tuesday, January 24. West Stanly will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 44-33 league loss to Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 2-13.
