Saltillo Lions (Saltillo, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sulphur Bluff Bears (Sulphur Bluff, TX), 83-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Saltillo upgrades its record to 31-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Bloomburg (Bloomburg, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 1A Region III District 24 bout on Friday, January 27. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 23-6.

Next up, the Bears clash with the Bloomburg Wildcats (Bloomburg, TX) in a 1A Region III District 24 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Sulphur Bluff will attempt to upgrade on its 8-16 season record.
