North Carolina High School Basketball - Purnell Swett tops Gray's Creek

January 20, 2023: Hope Mills, NC 28348

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) and the host Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC), saw Purnell Swett's basketball squad knock off Gray's Creek by a tally of 34-14.

With the victory, Purnell Swett improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC) to play the Colts in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Colts come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Cape Fear lost 36-17 in their recent non-league challenge against Lumberton (Lumberton, NC)

Next up, the Bears play the Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Gray's Creek will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record.
