In Friday's league match, the visiting Lehi Pioneers basketball team scored a decisive 55-25 triumph over the Timpview Thunderbirds.
In their next game, the Pioneers meet the Timpanogos Timberwolves (Orem, UT) in a match, on Tuesday, January 24. Lehi will attempt to better on its 15-0 season record. The Timberwolves enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 67-29 non-league loss to Mountain Ridge (Herriman, UT).
With the defeat, Timpview moves to 0-2 on the year.
First Quarter
Mackinzie Jepson and Kryalyn Spencer made three- point shots in the first quarter to lead Lehi to a 15 to 2 advantage going into the second period.
Second Quarter
Lehi hit four three-points shots in the second quarter and outscored Timpview 20 to 10. The score at the end of the first half is 35 to 12 in favor of the Pioneers.
Third Quarter
Brynlee Cook made her third three-pointer of the game in the quarter and Lehi held Timpview to just 4 points. The score going into the final period is Lehi 43 and Timpview 16.
Fourth Quarter
Lehi scored 12 points and Timpview had 9. The final score is 55 to 24 in favor of the Pioneers. When Lehi played Timpview at home, Lehi won by just four points. The Pioneer JV team remains undefeated for the season. 9 players scored for Lehi in the contest.
