Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) and the visiting Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), saw Franklin's basketball squad wallop Tuscola by a count of 60-27.

With the victory, Franklin upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Pisgah (Canton, NC) to play the Bears in a challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 13-2. Pisgah won 53-26 in their recent non-league battle against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC)

The Mountaineers (4-11) will now prepare for their battle against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Knights come into the battle with a 14-5 record. In their last battle, North Henderson trounced Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC), 62-55, in a league battle.
