The Akron-Westfield Westerners basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting West Sioux Falcons to 36 in the Westerners league victory on Saturday.

The Westerners now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lawton-Bronson for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. Akron-Westfield will battle a Eagles team coming off a 68-57 non-league win over Trinity Christian (Hull, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 10-5.

The Falcons (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against West Monona (Onawa, IA). The Spartans come into the non-league contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, West Monona was routed by Westwood (Sloan, IA), 53-38, in a non-league contest.
