The Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) basketball knocked off the visiting West Sioux Falcons (Hawarden, IA), 65-51 in Tuesday's league test.

The Westerners (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA). The Jays go into the War Eagle test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Gehlen Catholic went down by St. Mary's (Remsen, IA), 62-40, in a league test.

The Falcons now own a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to Westwood for a non-league test on Thursday, December 21. West Sioux will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 54-49 non-league loss to Wakefield (Wakefield, NE). The Rebels record now stands at 7-6.
