Virginia High School Basketball - James River thwarts Patrick County

The James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA), 62-53 in Saturday's league test.
The Knights (4-12) will now prepare for their test against Floyd County (Floyd, VA). The Buffaloes go into the Three Rivers test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Floyd County notched a victory over Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA), 43-37, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 2-11 record. They play next when they travel to Glenvar for a non-league test on Monday, January 22. Patrick County will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 67-45 league win over James River (Buchanan, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 5-8.
