The Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Madison Comprehensive Rams to 45 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mansfield Senior for a Ohio Cardinal contest on Tuesday, January 23. Mt. Vernon will meet a Tygers team coming off a 83-56 league loss to Lexington (Lexington, OH). The Tygers record now stands at 10-3.

The Rams (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Lexington (Lexington, OH). The Minutemen enter the Ohio Cardinal contest with a 15-1 record. In their last contest, Lexington ran past Mansfield Senior (Mansfield, OH), 83-56, in a league contest.
