The Winona Winhawks basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Northfield Raiders to 45 in the Winhawks league victory on Saturday.
The Winhawks now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mankato East for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Winona will battle a Cougars team coming off a 71-60 non-league win over Austin (Austin, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 10-6.
The Raiders (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Faribault (Faribault, MN). The Falcons come into the AAA Section 1 contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Faribault was defeated by Owatonna (Owatonna, MN), 43-38, in a non-league contest.
