Winona Winhawks (Winona, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Northfield Raiders (Northfield, MN), 76-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Winona upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Winhawks travel to Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Plainview-Elgin-Millville won 71-21 in their recent league bout against Wabasha-Kellogg (Wabasha, MN)

Next up, the Raiders play the Faribault Falcons (Faribault, MN) in a AAA Section 1 bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Northfield will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
