Illinois High School Basketball - Princeville can't hold off Wethersfield

The Wethersfield Flying Geese basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Princeville Princes to 49 in the Flying Geese non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Flying Geese now sport a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hall for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. Wethersfield will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 57-38 league loss to Princeton (Princeton, IL). The Red Devils record now stands at 10-12.
The Princes (13-9) will now prepare for their contest against Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL). The Red Storm enter the Lincoln Trail contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Monmouth United was nudged by Mercer County (Aledo, IL), 35-17, in a non-league contest.
