The Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA) basketball toppled the visiting Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA), 60-50 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Cavaliers now possess a 9-2 record. They play next when they host Chilhowie for a Hogoheegee bout on Tuesday, January 21. Holston will play a Warriors team coming off a 66-46 league win over Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-5.
With the loss, Rye Cove falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA) to play the Pioneers in a Cumberland bout on Friday, January 24.
