Next, the Raiders encounter the East Rankin Academy Patriots (Pelahatchie, MS) in a MAIS 5A District 2 test, on Thursday, January 23. Lamar will attempt to improve on its 14-10 season record. The Patriots come into the test with a 27-2 record after their 62-24 league win over Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS).
The Crusaders (9-15) will now prepare for their test against Prentiss Christian (Prentiss, MS). The Saints come into the non-league test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Prentiss Christian went down by Sylva Bay Academy (Bay Springs, MS), 56-15, in a league test.
