Mississippi High School Basketball - Lamar routs Park Place Christian Academy

In Friday's league contest, the host Lamar Raiders basketball team scored a big 55-31 triumph over the Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders.

The Raiders (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS). The Jaguars go into the MAIS 5A District 2 contest with a 6-17 record. In their last contest, Wayne Academy was trounced by Presbyterian Christian (Hattiesburg, MS), 57-19, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Crusaders battle the Leake Academy Rebels (Madden, MS) in a MAIS 5A District 2 contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Park Place Christian Academy will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record. The Rebels go into the contest with a 23-0 record after their 53-30 league win over Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS).
