The Franklin Regional Panthers held off the host Kiski Area Cavaliers basketball team by a tally of 42-37 in Friday's league battle.
The Panthers now possess a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodland Hills for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 25. Franklin Regional will confront a Wolverines team coming off a 77-66 non-league loss to Greater Latrobe (Latrobe, PA). The Wolverines record now stands at 6-7.
The Cavaliers (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against McKeesport (McKeesport, PA). The Tigers come into the WPIAL 5A 3 battle with a 3-10 record. In their last battle, McKeesport was nudged by Gateway (Monroeville, PA), 82-48, in a non-league battle.
