Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK), 68-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bettye Davis East Anchorage upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Chugiak (Chugiak, AK) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Cook Inlet bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-4.

Next up, the Eagles play the Service Cougars (Anchorage, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet bout, on Tuesday, January 24. West Anchorage will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 70-59 league win over Bartlett (Anchorage, AK).
