The Santa Fe Demons (Santa Fe, NM) basketball nipped the visiting Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM), 58-54 in Saturday's league test.
The Demons (11-7) will now prepare for their test against Manzano (Albuquerque, NM). The Monarchs go into the 5A District 5 test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Manzano got by Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM), 55-52, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 14-4 record. They play next when they host Capital for a 5A District 5 test on Wednesday, January 25. Los Lunas will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 52-43 league win over Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 12-5.
