The Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the visiting Middletown Middie Bears to 51 in the Goldbacks league victory on Saturday.

The Goldbacks now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Albany for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 25. Newburgh Free Academy will battle a Falcons team coming off a 57-54 non-league loss to Shaker (Latham, NY). The Falcons record now stands at 6-7.

The Middie Bears (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY). The Bushmen come into the Section 9 Orange County II contest with a 0-13 record.
