The Coronado Leopards (Gallina, NM) basketball edged the host Walatowa Charter Cougars (Jemez Pueblo, NM), 66-59 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Leopards now possess a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Monte Del Sol Charter for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 23. Coronado will play a Dragons team coming off a 66-49 league win over Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Dragons record now stands at 3-10.

With the loss, Walatowa Charter falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Logan (Logan, NM) to play the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 23. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 12-0. Logan won 85-61 in their recent non-league bout against Melrose (Melrose, NM)
