The Coronado Leopards (Gallina, NM) basketball crushed the visiting Walatowa Charter Cougars (Jemez Pueblo, NM), 50-27 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Leopards now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Northwest for a A District 1 bout on Friday, January 10. Coronado will play a Falcons team coming off a 72-17 non-league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Falcons record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Walatowa Charter falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Santa Fe Indian (Santa Fe, NM) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Santa Fe Indian won 58-41 in their recent non-league bout against Gallup (Gallup, NM)
