The Patrick County Cougars basketball team scored 58 points and limited the host James River Knights to 48 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now possess a 5-10 record. They play next when they travel to Glenvar for a Three Rivers game on Monday, January 27. Patrick County will play a Highlanders team coming off a 54-21 league win over James River (Buchanan, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, James River falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Knights host Glenvar (Salem, VA) to play the Highlanders in a Three Rivers game on Thursday, January 23. The Highlanders go into the game with a record of 7-3. Glenvar lost 58-55 in their recent league game against Alleghany (Covington, VA)
